According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a man was driving a sedan on Ave Maria Boulevard when he lost control.
A 49-year-old Immokalee woman was riding a lawn mower on the grass shoulder.
The man crashed into the woman, causing the lawn mower to flip over and crash into a signpost and tree.
The woman was separated from the mower and came to rest on the grass shoulder.
Automatic Mower FHP states she was pronounced dead at the scene. This crash remains under investigation.
